SAC FCU Presents Check to Anderson Grove Elementary School

On Friday, SAC Federal Credit Union formally presented a check for $300 to Anderson Grove School for the schools participation in the Pennies for Patients program. This program builds character, teaches compassion, and impacts the community in a meaningful way.

Pennies for Patients is a service learning program that saves lives and shows students across the country that community service is fun.  Students bring spare change to school, do fundraisers, and donate in honor of local student heroes who are leukemia and lymphoma survivors.  The money is used for research and patient services.

Anderson Grove School is a Papillion/LaVista School, with grades pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.  Each class set a goal and each class brought their pennies to school.  They also held two fundraisers.  One was the week before St. Patrick’s Day and for 25 cents students could write a message of encouragement on a paper shamrock; the other fundraiser was for 50 cents students could wear the hat of their choice to school.  SAC Federal Credit Union applauds the work of these future community leaders in making “every penny count!"

 President Gail DeBoer receives Bellevue Chamber Woman of the Year Award for 2009

Gail DeBoer, President of SAC Federal Credit Union was honored as the 2009 Bellevue Business Woman of the Year by the Bellevue Chamber of  Commerce, Tuesday, December 1.  The presentation was made at the Women in Leadership Annual Reception at Bellevue University.  Gail received her MBA from Bellevue University in 2003.
 
In her role as President of SAC Federal Credit Union, Gail is responsible for all areas of a $401 million financial institution, including a staff of 200 people with 15 locations in the Omaha metro area.  Under her leadership SAC FCU has embarked on an aggressive marketing campaign, grown membership by 10% and increased deposits.  Gail was nominated for her leadership skills, vision, and integrity.

ASHLAND, NE – (July 17, 2009) – The Strategic Air & Space Museum (SASM), in partnership with SAC Federal Credit Union, announced the opening of “Dreamers Gallery”, the latest addition to the permanent collection of hands-on educational exhibits at the Museum.
