The Directors, Management, and Staff of SAC Federal Credit Union are concerned about and respect the privacy of our members personal financial information. We understand that our members furnish sensitive information to the Credit Union in the course of daily business and the Credit Union is committed to treating such information responsibly. We know that our members expect privacy and security for their personal and financial affairs.
SAC Federal Credit Union will take all necessary steps to safeguard sensitive information that has been entrusted to us by our members. This Financial Privacy Notice outlines the Credit Unions practices regarding non-public personal information.
Types of Information the Credit Union Collects
We collect non-public personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms,
- Information about your transactions with us or others,
- Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, and
- Information we receive from you when visiting our Web site.
Types of Information the Credit Union Discloses
SAC Federal Credit Union does not disclose any non-public personal information about our members and former members to anyone, except as permitted by law.
Service Provider/Joint Marketing Exception
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.
SAC Federal Credit Union will not provide members personal information to companies for the purpose of their independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-financial products or services. If the Credit Union shares information with a third party, non-affiliated marketing firm for the purpose of facilitating member access to new Credit Union products or services, the Credit Union will enter into a written agreement with the third party that will require that party to maintain the confidentiality of the information in the same manner the Credit Union would and restrict its use.
If you notify us that you do not want us to share your information for purposes of making offers to you, we will process your request immediately. Your name will not appear on any future marketing lists created and used by SAC Federal Credit Union or thereafter provided by SAC Federal Credit Union to third parties. Because some marketing lists may already have been produced, it may take up to ten weeks to stop receiving offers.
Safeguarding Member Information
We restrict access to non-public personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your non-public personal information.
