Shred Day
SAC Federal Credit Union has scheduled a Shred Day on Saturday, June 15, in the lower parking area of Thanksgiving Lutheran Church across from the Main Branch at 11515 South 39th Street, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
ROTC students from Bellevue East will be available to help unload boxes.
- Shredding will be limited to 2 legal size boxes (about 80 pounds) of any private personal printed material per vehicle
- File folders, envelopes, checkbooks, wet material, plastics/3 ring binders, heavy duty metal clips, electronic media, unrolled adding tape rolls and similar items can be shredded Staples and paperclips do not need to be removed
- Electronic disposal will be available, and limited to 2 CPUs (desktop computer towers) or 2 laptops per vehicle. No monitors will be accepted. The following items cannot be shredded: Medical X-Rays Corrugated boxes, plastic trash bags

SAC FCU is proud to work with Datashield, a NAID-certified shredding vendor. NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) certification verifies a secure destruction process including such areas as operational security, employee hiring and screening, the destruction process, responsible disposal and insurance. Materials collected will be shredded offsite.
Shred Days are planned for the Blair No Frills Branch in August and the Millard Branch in September. More details will be published here and on our Facebook page when available.
