The biggest difference between banks and SAC FCU is that we work for you, not stockholders. Because we’re member-owned, we’re focused on the best interests of our customers. And because of the company structure, we’re able to offer higher dividends, lower interest rates, and fewer fees.

Who can join SAC FCU?
If we didn’t already work here, we’d want to join SAC, too. Good news: You probably can! In order to become a member, you simply have to live, work, worship, attend school or conduct business in one of our counties of service — or have an immediate family member who does.
You can join SAC Federal Credit Union if:
- You or your immediate family member* are employed by or a retiree of SpartanNash
- You or your immediate family member* live, work, worship, attend school, or regularly do business in Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Washington, or Saunders Counties in Nebraska, or Pottawattamie, Harrison, Mills, Shelby, Monona, Crawford, Carroll, Ida or Sac Counties in Iowa
- You or your immediate family member* is already a member of SAC FCU
- Businesses and other entities qualify if they are located within any of the fourteen counties.
*Immediate family member is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships.
To join, you'll need to open a SAC FCU savings account, with a minimum initial deposit of only $5. You can also sign up for one of our checking accounts now or add this option at a later date. If you have questions, just stop by any of our conveniently-located offices or call (402) 292-8000 or 1-800-228-0392, ext. 6266. If you're ready to join now, apply online.
